A Short Weekend in Bruges
I was able to meet up with some friends in Bruges last weekend. It was my first time in Belgium and the first time I'd seen these friends in ten years!!
Here are some pics I took:
My friend's name is Marie, so of course we had to stop here and take a photo. :)
As you can see, it was sorta sunny but not entirely warm yet.
We were mostly just chatting to get caught up, combined with walking around the town and drinking beer and eating chocolate. ;) There was a most excellent flea market/street fair...
And we took the river tour:
Check out the cute dog hanging out the window!
In more sewing-related news, I am planning on participating in Me Made May 2013 but I'm still thinking about the particulars of my pledge. I honestly haven't made much this past year so my outfits won't be much different from the last time around. Plus now I have the additional constraint of my new job which demands a slightly more formal work wardrobe.
I have a feeling that this challenge is going to be rather like the first time I participated, with me trying to scrape together outfits! There may be some days when my only me-made thing is a scarf, but I'm not going to be hard on myself. I may not do daily pics though and just do 'highlights' so to speak. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to participating and seeing everyone's creations; it's always an inspiration!

A couple of year ago I was in Bruges, it´s a beautifull city.
ReplyDeleteMMM´13 it´s a excellent way to test our closet, you can participate to take ideas for the next year sewing projects.
Bruges looks good. I like the river tour. I am glad you are doing MMM 13. I am not sure if I will manage a daily photo. xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a terrific day out. I like the sound of eating chocolate too :) I'm looking forward to seeing you in MMM. I'm joining in too, and taking daily photos. I might not do a blog post every day, though; we'll see.
ReplyDeleteBruges looks lovely - another city added to my must visit list
ReplyDeleteI'm doing MMM as well, I think just making the effort to participate is an achievement!
Looks like you had a great trip, and I am very excited that you are joining MMM too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! That dog is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Me-Made-May! I'm hoping it's not too monotonous. Last year I was so sick of looking at myself in the same few tops!
Looks like a fun trip! Drinking beer and eating chocolate and walking the city sounds perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great trip!
